Brian Stephens has been working as a full-time “Creative Professional” for over twenty years. Throughout his career, he has worn many “hats” including Drummer, Producer, Audio Engineer, Music Educator, and Serial Entrepreneur.
His technical expertise, musical knowledge, openness to all types of music, and desire to give clients a high-touch, personalized experience during every project.

Brian Stephens has been a freelance professional drummer, session musician, audio engineer, and music producer based in Atlanta, Georgia for more than 20 years. His drumming, engineering, & production skills can be heard on music projects and commercial jingles for clients like Verizon Wireless, The Salvation Army, Fox Sports, Warner Brothers, & 20th Century Fox.
As a live gig freelance drummer, Brian has worked with a diverse roster of artists including The Platters, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Crystals, Blueground Undergrass, Jimmy Hall (Jeff Beck, Hank Williams, Jr.), and many others. As a recording session drummer, his playing can be heard on well over 500 recordings and has been heard in TV music placements on television networks like ABC, MTV, Oxygen Network, & SoapNET.
(He even appeared on-screen as Mary Steenbergen’s drummer in the 2013 movie “Last Vegas” starring Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline.)
As a music educator and journalist, Brian has written articles for Modern Drummer magazine, Drum! Magazine, and Performer magazine. Brian is a Visiting Faculty member at music/engineering schools like The Atlanta Institute of Music & Media and SAE Atlanta. He has also traveled as an Artist Endorser / Clinician for companies like Paiste cymbals, Promark drumsticks, Evans drumheads, and Planet Waves cables. Brian is also currently the Producer and Co-Host of the audio & video podcast “Dial-A-Drummer”.
From 2008 – 2018, he was the Lead A-1/FoH Mix Engineer and AV Co-ordinator at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, Brian spends his engineering time outside of the studio as a freelance Front of House mixer in churches, theaters, clubs, and outdoor venues around Metro Atlanta. He also spends time as a audio & video technology consultant for some of Atlanta’s largest AV Design/Build firms.
